  Immediately upon graduating college I co-created a network of websites that allowed students to anonymously share secrets online. The original site, buffsecret.com, was conceived as a localized, digitized version of PostSecret. It has turned out to be a precursor to today's wildly popular anonymous sharing outlets such as whisper, secret.ly, yik yak, and more. We built the company from the ground up, generating traffic through use of social media, PR and guerrilla marketing tactics. Buffsecret.com began generating revenue from local advertising 9 months after its initial launch. We grew from one site in Boulder, CO to a network of four sites in Colorado and New England in one year. Ultimately, my partner and I used the experience of building Secrets Connect to follow our dreams and pursue other careers. In my case, it led me to a career in sports broadcasting and journalism.
