Where to start... Craig is the complete package. I was looking for dedicated PR project support in Triumph's Central Marketing function, and was fortunate enough to recruit Craig into the team specifically to help organise events, work on motorcycle custom projects, support with film placements and most important of all, to help initiate the extensive marketing programme supporting Triumph's return to the track, in 2019 Moto2 GP racing. Craig not only contributed to the Moto2 programme, he took it, ran with it and owned it, communicating with Triumph and MotoGP's Global stakeholders - way over achieving against expectations. Craig performed all tasks, with thoughtful, determined and calm resolve. He is a man of promise and detail, a true professional and a genuine asset. I am genuinely going to miss working with him. Thank you Craig for everything.

I had the pleasure of working with Craig for almost a year and he was a very welcome colleague in the Triumph mix. Craig is a conscientious, smart, considerate and extremely driven individual. We worked together on several projects in the course of the last year and his professionalism and healthy perfectionism always motivated me to do my own part of the job better. I strongly recommend Craig as a marketing professional that you can learn a lot from and enjoy working with.

Worked on the Wolseley Graduate Scheme within the Infrastructure business. I spent my first month within a branch learning about how they are run and what customers within the industry are looking for. I learned from the ground up how a successful branch operates, spending time out with the Drivers, in the Warehouse and then in the office learning about tender processes, customer relations and the overall sales process. During the rest of my time, I worked within the central commercial operations team in Infrastructure, working on a range of different projects, honing my commercial and operations skills. My first project involved supplier analysis and consolidation of supply. These findings were rolled out across all 38 branches in the UK. Early results have demonstrated real cost savings for the business, in the region of £10,000 this calendar year. In my last project, I spearheaded a Data Collection exercise creating my own tracking methods and targets. This project had a very tight turnaround and involved liaising with various parties internally and also externally. This was a fast-paced project with ever-changing parameters, and it was my responsibility to prioritise correctly in order to keep all parties happy and to meet the overall objectives. Show less

    • Conference and Banqueting Team Leader
      • May 2012 - Jan 2017

During my time at Airth I worked and ran a range of events: Weddings, Private Dinners and Party Nights. As a team leader I used my experience to teach new staff the levels of quality that are expected and ensuring that they are able to build their confidence with customers. When working on a porter shift I was the first on call for any guest problems or maintenance issues within the whole hotel of 125 rooms and 9 function rooms. Night Porter when I was the only point of contact for the hotel besides the Night Manager, any issues must be dealt with by us thus is a highly responsible position, keeping the hotel guests safe through the night. Many events are for VIPs and the pressure at these events is intense and work needs to be of a very high standard and any problems dealt with quickly and in a professional manner. Show less

The calling of former Strathclyde Graduates inquiring what they went on to do after university and then enticing them to donate to the Alumni Fund. Through training my negotiation skills improved exponentially and I was really able to get people who were unsure to then donate. I feel that over the phone I now have the skills to be able to convince prospects to buy. Towards the end of the campaign due to my performance I was asked to coach other callers in how I was able to get donations and as a group of callers we met the overall target that was set. I helped the campaign to reach the target of £200,000 and had a personal total of £6,000. Each shift that I was in there was a set target per person to get for instance 2 donations. The majority of the time I met or even exceeded these targets, I was successful enough to win the prize for best caller, out of the forty callers employed. Show less
