My duties as Operations Foreman require me to perform and confirm all quality control procedures as they relate to aviation fuel (Jet A-1, Av100LL) at Victoria International Airport. This includes being audited by all third party entities such as commercial airlines (Air Canada, Westjet, etc.), The Victoria Airport Authority, Dept. of National Defense, Transport Canada, Environmental companies, IATA, and more. I am also the liaison to the oil company (currently World Fuel Services, formerly Esso) that we work in partnership with. My other duties include administering our tank farm facility and receiving product into storage and any relevant quality control procedures related. Additionally I perform all routine maintenance of the refueling equipment as it pertains to our mobile refueling trucks and our tank farm storage facility. I coordinate all third party contractors to come on-site for repairs and arrange work orders/PO's in addition to all Safe Work Permits and JSA's. I am POST (Petroleum Oriented Safety Training) certified. I am responsible for quality testing and operation of all fueling equipment and daily log book entries as well as all weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, periodic, and many other log entries. I hold a valid British Columbia Class 3 Driver's License and certificates for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods and WHMIS. Furthermore, I hold the position of Assistant Manager and perform the duties of General Manager when he is away. These include electronic/computer billing of our private and commercial customers, office administration, staff scheduling, payroll, coordination of fuel deliveries to our tank farm facilty, data entry via Excel, stock management, and much more. Finally, I have been an Aircraft Refueler for 20 years and can confidently refuel any aircraft from the smallest home-built piston engine to the largest commercial jet airliner. I am familiar with refueling all helicopters and all Canadian Military/NATO aircraft. Show less
