Career Summery April 2011 – Present: Security Team Leader/Maritime Specialist, Northern Gulf A challenging and diverse position working for MUSC FZE as one of the key members of the security team providing static armed security on project vessels along with mobile, armed RIBs carrying out force protection. MUSC have been contracted to Leighton International to provide all offshore project security for the installation of oil pipelines form the Al Faw peninsular to the Al Basrah Oil Terminal (43km). Responsibilities •Ships security officer for one of the major vessels, responsible for the safety of the vessel and 200 crew. •Inducted, trained and administered all incoming local national guards prior to dispersal to project vessels. •Crew training and auditing in the lockdown procedure. •Writing and forward to senior management of Ship Security Assessments for incoming vessels. •Administration and upkeep of all project stores and equipment. •Directly responsible for the operational, safe and effective use of 5 security RIBs. •Patrol patterns and support required covering up to 50 vessels spread across a 40km footprint. • Trained, administered and mentored 12 third country and local nationals as coxswains and in maritime protection procedures. • Advised client on all aspects of maritime security inherent with provision of security craft.
