It is with sincere pleasure and the highest regard that I write this recommendation for Mr. Craig Schlichting. For the last twenty years, I have worked closely with Mr. Schlichting to improve the instruction at Triton Public Schools. He has been instrumental in the continuous improvement of student behavior management, educational delivery and educational leadership! Mr. Schlichting possesses all of the characteristics of an expert administrator with an applied orientation, which is an incredibly rare combination. His knowledge of pedagogy, school law and his common sense ability to work with students is among the best I have ever seen in education. Mr. Schlichting is an excellent listener and his calm, professional demeanor bodes well given his difficult assignment. As a NCAA Division I scholarship athlete and professional football player, Mr. Schlichting is able to use his unique experiences in order to motivate youth. His ability to challenge students to better themselves behaviorally and academically is simply outstanding! Mr. Schlichting is a lifelong learner himself! He models this by his continued growth in technological knowledge and its implementation. His experience as an Assistant Principal, Dean of Students and Middle School Principal at Triton has well prepared him for his current position as High School Principal. Mr. Schlichting is able to effectively and efficiently manage a modern complex school operation and its 1-to-1 iPad curriculum delivery system. The aforementioned represents only a glimpse of the amazing range of abilities that Mr. Schlichting possesses. He is one of the most innovative, creative, professional and skilled educational leaders that I have ever had the pleasure to call a colleague. He is a

I retired after teaching 35 years in the Triton District. Craig was the 8th principal I worked under. Craig's strengths were his willingness to listen to students and staff and hear what was being said. As a teacher, I was quite comfortable inviting him into the classroom. Teaching science I felt that it was important for him to be aware what was happening in the classroom especially that all safety procedures were in place and needed instruction was being given to insure student safety. A staff member could depend on that with Craig, tomorrow was a new day, no matter how heated yesterday's disagreement had been.
