Driver Coach - Acting Director of DSS in Director's absence. Manage company commercial drivers (approximately 450 within COTC authority). Identify opportunities to improve business process, workflow, and overall departmental productivity. Reduce variable costs and expense by driving down claims and increasing production efficiency. Collaborate with departments including recruiting, maintenance, dispatch / operations and administration. Manage driver production, safety and compliance through daily audits, including routing efficiency, trip planning, fuel management, Hours of Service & time management. Adhere to DOT, FMCSA regulations. provide continued training by creating and implementing new training and development platforms for COTC DSS and the DASEKE network of companies. Audit data accuracy within internal TMS systems, utilizing KPI's, production, claims, safety and equipment reports. Process FNOL (first notice of loss), conduct investigations and post accident review.
