I was part of a team that managed the network at the Westin Technology Center (WTC). The WTC was the data center which housed all global IT systems, such as the Central Reservation System, finance & accounting applications, and corporate systems such as email servers. The WTC was also home to the primary call center for hotel reservations. Systems that our team managed were large Unix servers such as IBM RS 6000, Silicon Graphics Challenge XL, Sun Ultra Enterprise 5000, and Sun Ultra Enterprise 10000. During this period I became fluent at Perl scripting, and to a lesser degree, Unix (Korn) shell scripting. Show less
