183 South Toll Project from US290 to SH71, Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority – Texas Dept. of Transportation, Travis County, TX. Project director acting as the roadway lead for Atkins oversite team. The work being performed includes project management services necessary to oversee the roadway design of the 183 South Toll Project through the use of a Design/Build Contract. This will entail those professional services and associated deliverables required to complete the oversight activities associated with the management of the design-build contractor. Work consists of reconstructing an existing 4 lane divided highway to a 6 lane tolled control of access highway with 3 non-tolled general purpose lanes in each direction. This work includes an environmental re-evaluation, schematic development, right-of-way acquisitions, and utility relocation coordination. This project requires extensive coordination with the design-build contractor, federal, state, county, and municipal authorities; sub-consultants, utility companies, contractors, public and elected officials. In addition to normal bridge/wall/culvert structures the project includes direct connector bridges, pedestrian bridges, sidewalks and shared use paths, as well as landscaping and other aesthetic features along the entire length of the project. $581.5 million.
