  As a CMT it was my job to provide the first eschelon of care for all soldiers within my charge of care. I would provide a sick parade for battalions of up to 400 soldiers to report sick every morning, set up presentations in order to educate the regiments in basic healthcare and medical treatments and preventions, and administer and record all vaccinations which are crucial for deployment. My main role, however, was to be fully trained and able to provide medical attention to victims of trauma and to have an intimate knowledge of how to treat any injuries or illnesses that could befall a soldier during a deployment.
