    • Lead Pipeline Engineer
      • Aug 2021 - Present

Working as the department lead, I manage a unique mix of external partners and internal teams toexpand Havfram into rigid pipelines. Utilising my experience, I am developing the knowledgebase, tools and building relationships with external partners. Now with the assets and necessaryskills inplace, I support the organisation in tendering and execution of pipeline prospects. Neptune Fenja field development, Pipeline installation lead for the 12”/18” Electrically Trace Heating (ETH) Pipe-in-Pipe (PiP), overseeing the complex pipeline installation and supporting the design and fabrication. Managing 22 various discipline / subcontractor teams with a team of 6. This will be the most complex and longest ETH pipeline (37km) seen in the industry to date. Installed via the reel-lay vessel Deep Energy.

    • Tendering / Feed Studies
      • Jun 2014 - Dec 2018

Along with my main projects I ran tenders, FEED studies and provide technical advice and supervise other pipelay projects onshore and offshore globally. Typically reporting to the FEED engineering manager, using my knowledge in installation, design, analysis and fabrication I target cost effective and efficient developments.Example FEED / tender projects: Equinor Krafla, Equnior Johan Sverdrup phase 2, Shell Carbon Capture Export LineExample live project support: Equnior Utgard/Bauge, Eni Block 15, IONA Orlando, Tullo TEN

    • Lead Rigid Pipeline Engineer
      • Mar 2018 - Sep 2018

EnQuest Kraken DC 4 Rigid pipeline work scope lead overseeing design, fabrication and installation. 3 x Logstor coated single wall pipelines (1 x clad, 2 x plastic lined) installed from the Deep Energy with 6 x large 36Te PLETs in 1 trip.

    • Lead Installation Engineer
      • May 2018 - Jul 2018

Equinor Trestakk Flex tail work scope lead. This was an industry first involved in connecting a 10”/14” PiP to a flexible tail installed by the Deep Energy. I ran a fast track work scope to make this complex milestone possible demonstrating the potential to complete a field development over a year faster than traditional methods.

    • Lead Rigid Pipeline Engineer
      • Aug 2016 - Mar 2018

Melitah Bahr Essalam phase 2 Reel lay installation work scope lead. 7 x pipelines (clad PiP 8”/12” and 10”/14” c/w 4” piggyback) installed from the Deep Energy. The 4” piggyback pipeline was the industry’s stiffest ever to be installed and first project the UK business unit has ran in the Mediterranean sea.

    • Lead Installation / Rigid Pipeline Engineer
      • May 2017 - Jul 2017

EnQuest Mallard 8" pipeline replacement project, Deep Energy work scope lead on a milestone fast track project. The project scope included: design, fabrication, pipelay, survey metrology, construction work and pre-commissioning all from the Deep Energy. This whole project from start of pipeline design and fabrication to demobilisation was completed in 2 ½ months.

    • Lead Rigid Pipeline Engineer
      • Jun 2014 - May 2016

EnQuest Kraken field development (DC1+2+3), Rigid pipeline work scope lead overseeing the pipeline design, fabrication and installation. 12 x 12” Logstor coated single wall pipelines installed from the Deep Energy over 2 campaigns. Diver less deep water system installed in shallow water making a very challenging project. Pipelines consisted of the largest PLETs ever initiated from the DE, large laydown PLETs, clad pipes, plastic lined pipes, first ever use of Logstor coating, 4 x pipelines initiated off 1 anchor and DLA initiation methods. I developed new vessel pipelay operation methods for the Deep Energy leading on to become the vessel standard operating procedures. Along with a large amount of vessel modifications / upgrades due to the lay system being designed for deep water structures only.

    • Lead Rigid Pipeline Engineer
      • Aug 2013 - May 2014

Nexen Golden Eagle Area Development phase 2, Rigid pipeline work scope lead overseeing the pipeline design, fabrication and installation. This was a 8”/12” PiP with a piggyback pipeline installed from the Apache II. I also ran a campaign on the Normand Prosper to pre-install an anchor and wire under a Flotel allow pipelay to initiate from later in the year.

    • Project Engineer
      • May 2013 - Aug 2013

EnQuest Alma Galia - Working part of a team, 3 x riser installations were completed using the Fugro Symphony. I completed the installation analysis, supported the planning and operation offshore. I developed new techniques to deal with long buoyancy sections in shallow water improving the allowable sea state.

    • Installation Analysis Engineer
      • Mar 2011 - Apr 2013

Working on various projects performing installation analysis for rigid pipes, risers, flexibles, lift analysis utilising a range of packages like OrcaFlex, python and FS2000.I developed automated methods of running analysis utilising Python scripts massively reducing the analysis hours. Spool lift analysis process was documented in a technical guideline I produced, allowing a wider range of engineers to carry out the work alleviating the workload of more specialist engineers.

    • Field Engineer
      • May 2012 - Aug 2012

The installation season of 2012 I worked as a field engineer for the Fugro Symphony supporting various projects. Highlights of this period was mobilising lay spreads for umbilical installations and large riser base installations at 75% crane utilisation.

    • Design Engineer
      • Jan 2009 - Mar 2011

Working at Balmoral I performed bespoke designs for pipeline / flexible ancillaries. This is from the initial concept phase through detailed design, analysis, fabrication and testing. This was carried out using Inventor, ANSYS and mathCAD.I developed the bend restrictor design to become more optimised which lead to a large increase in sales of this product.I was also part of a team developing the first third party approved buoyancy clamp which is still the Balmoral Premium clamp today.
