I work collaboratively with a team of linguists and data scientists to annotate linguistic data for training AI and machine-learning models. The work involves named entity recognition, relationship extraction, and a good bit of collaboration to create and update our annotation guidelines. We also update and maintain our company ontology.

Currently I teach Linguistics (including History of English), Medieval Literature, and World Literature, although I have also taught German, Composition, and Cultural Studies in the past. I conduct research primarily in historical linguistics (mostly Germanic), phonology, and German dialects. I have also done some research in second language acquisition and in information systems.
