Chris is an individual with advanced technical training and experience using analysis to generate solutions. With a structural engineering background, he has developed skills, such as critical thinking and problem solving, that can be translated to a business focused role to provide value to any company. He possesses a level of critical thinking and data analysis skills that I believe will benefit him tremendously in an analyst role. He is equipped to learn new software programs, to aid in analysis, and to interpret output to make impactful business decisions. Chris works well in a collaborative environment and holds himself accountable to produce high quality deliverables within an agreed upon time frame. When working as part of a team, he can articulate information in a clear and concise manner while maintaining thorough attention to detail. He exemplifies a ‘lead by example’ leadership style and complements others to help the whole team reach its potential.

March 7, 2022 RE: Letter of recommendation for Christopher Poelking To Whom It May Concern: This is a letter of recommendation for Christopher Poelking who worked for Paul J. Ford and Company, Structural Engineers (PJF) from June 2014 to March 2020. Chris worked in the capacity as a structural designer within the communications monopole department. He worked under the daily supervision of registered professional engineers. His responsibilities included performing analysis on and design of steel monopole structures and foundations that support communications antennas. Chris was an excellent employee who we found to be bright and eager while he was with PJF. He has great potential as an excellent engineer and was an asset to our Company. While working full time at PJF, Chris was also earning his MBA degree from the Fisher College of Business. This degree complements Chris’ technical education and makes him a more rounded engineer who can more effectively manage people and understand the business of engineering. Additionally, Chris is an excellent problem solver and communicates well. Therefore, I would highly recommend Chris to be hired by any firm looking for a diligent employee with strong technical problem solving skills and a business administration background. Sincerely, David W. Hawkins, PE President
