Whenever tours were not being conducted, tour guides served as visitor services representatives at the information desk and participated in State House special educational programs like Indiana's Supreme Court in the Classroom and mock trials. Field work included measured drawings, comprehensive interior and exterior photographs, detailed architectural descriptions and a condition assessment. In addition to field work, I research and drafted the executive summary, history, statement of significance and chronology for the report. A second project included field work for a rustic guest cottage and studio on the grounds of the T.C. Steele State Historic Site in Nashville, Indiana. T.C. Steele was a prominent early 19th century Indiana impressionist painter and the site includes his home and associated structures. I conducted the condition assessment for the interior and exterior of the structures and drafted the condition and recommendations section of the HSR. I also conducted architectural surveys in Warren County, Indiana. The surveys involved identifying structures that would be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places and completing an architectural description for each structure. I also edited and organized surveys for Galena, Illinois and completed clerical office duties as needed. Show less

Conservation projects included monument cleaning in Monacacy National Battlefield, gravestone cleaning at Manassas National Battefield, moisture testing at the Washington Monument, paint and plaster analysis at Harper's Ferry, gilding at Iwo Jima, and other projects.
