Teaching Assistant

Aug 2013 - Dec 2013
I was the teaching assistant for Dr. Michael Young's Fundamentals of Game Design (CSC281). I was in charge of grading the assignments and exams that were administered during the class. I also helped the students to construct a engaging narrative for their overall game design project as well as help them fix any potential bugs that could render their game nonfunctional. I was part of a research team that was conducting experiments on procedurally-generated rhetoric. While working with a team of computer scientists, we attempted to find a generalized structural framework within common narrative in order to generate unscripted actions to occur within the context of a video game. Aug 2009 - Dec 2012
I was a private tutor throughout most of my college career. I held various positions during that time, and my responsibilities included teaching young children how to read and helping high school students to better understand the fundamentals of biology and calculus. I also served as a music instructor to young children who were interested in learning how to play guitar. I was a private tutor throughout most of my college career.
