Almost overnight she was gone. Courtney had left the US to run our event driven desk in Asia, and I was a little stunned. Witty, intelligent, and dedicated, I would miss working with her on projects because she knew how to get things done. She dove right in, cut through the clutter, and was the first to acknowledge when she didn’t understand something - but you never had to tell her twice. Looking back now, after years as a friend and colleague, I understand her better.
