I am a newly graduated nurse just waiting to take my NCLEX. In the meantime, I am allow to train for a CICU nurse under the direct supervision of an RN. CICU deals with critically ill patients, including but not limited too; STEMI/NSTEMI, post cardiac arrest, pulmonary edema, respiratory failure/arrest, PE, unstable CHF, and patients requiring CRRT, ventilators, artic sun, impella, heart ballon pumps and stents.
