  We were a project based team formed by 5 members, being assigned from the Contractor side to be the connection and coordinators between the Project Management Teams, Designers, Design Verification Engineers and Client. As Design Coordinators of this project, our team had a wide range of responsibilities:- Review of project specifications, contractual project requirements, etc. to ensure that theteam understands the projects requirements;- Manage the construction/design deliverables in accordance with construction requirementsand Client’s expectations;- Coordinate all construction/design matters (interface management) between the key projectstakeholders – Client, Design Team, third party specialist designers and Sub-contractors;- Interface management;- Review and monitor the Design Team’s design processes, procedures and qualitymanagement plans thus ensuring distribution of all construction/design information anddocumentation to all relevant parties;- Manage the review of key milestone deliverables for completion in relation to quality ofconstruction/design, implementation and co-ordination of design changes including QualityAssurance in accordance with the design consultants’ contracted scope of services;- Manage, co-ordinate and control all meetings in relation to the construction / design / shopdrawings of specialist to ensure the overall design requirements are integrated into theProject;- Manage, co-ordinate and control the submission and approval process between the design verification engineer, Contractor and Client;- Review of quantities estimated by the Designers and comparison to the quantities estimatedin the Tender Design;- Identify and manage Design Deliverables for all tradesMy main task was related to the Planning and Progress Monitoring, keeping contact with the Designers and Design Management Teams in order to keep the track of the deliverables, approvals and identify issues that might appear within the design. Here I took part of the team who developed the detailing engineering of this major project, and I had the chance to work and take part in several trainings in Vienna.
