OA/DA Coordinator

Feb 2022 - Present
I work remotely as the OA and DA coordinator for all Nilson Van and Storage branches. I am green to the moving industry, but Nilson took a chance on me and has taken the time to train and teach me the ways of this world. I know I am being supported and guided toward success in the industry. Nilson provides many opportunities for advancement and education. I am excited for this new adventure! Executive Administrative Assistant
-
Aug 2019 - Mar 2020
In my position, I assisted the owner in maintaining her daily professional and personal schedule. I organized and scheduled sub-contractors needed for each build. Ran payroll, quarterly taxes and monitored all finances associated with the company. In addition to book work and maintaining a smooth office atmosphere, I engaged with customers regarding their complaints and praise during one of the most stressful times of their lives, building or remodeling a home. Due to Covid 19, we were forced to close our doors for an extended period of time, at which I decided to relocate to another state with my family and began working for Nilson Van and storage Show less

Athena Home Care Services
-
Vancouver, Washington, United States
-
Administrative Assistant
-
Jan 2005 - May 2016
I began as a home care aid and worked my way up to office member. I managed the office and was the professional assistant to all three owners. I supervised a staff of 75 employees and monitored the care of 110 clients. We provided in home care to developmentally disabled adults and children. I assisted with completing annual Requests for Qualifications to maintain our contract with Medicaid and the State of Washington. I also held my Nursing Assistant Certification for 15 years and was able to assist with clients and train new staff to the level of care expected at Athena. I did scheduling monthly for all caregivers and clients as well as fielding all call-ins and time-off requests. I collected and entered all work hours for payroll and handed out earnings as well as bonuses. The position and I grew together as I was the first employee hired when the company opened. The amount of responsibility I took on is too overwhelming to put into words. I enjoyed my time with this family owned business for 11 years before I resigned to become a wife and stay at home mother. Show less
