I teach Visual Arts at the middle school level, including a Studio course for advanced art students in 8th grade.. The curriculum aims to incorporate drawing, painting, clay, art history, material exploration, and printmaking. Classroom management, lesson planning, and keeping a rigorous project schedule are all daily responsibilities. Student work is displayed throughout the district and entered in exhibitions throughout Onondaga County. I also have also created an after school art group that I meet with weekly to learn new art processes and use new art mediums. Show less

Worked at Syracuse University for the Department of Art Education as a co-teacher for a summer session of Saturday Art Workshops for Young People. Responsibilities included creating innovative and engaging lessons for six year-old students on a weekly basis. Students were encouraged to explore new materials and processes including watercolor, fiber art and installation art. Student art was exhibited at the the culmination of the summer at "The Little Show" at ComArt Building at Syracuse University. This session was open to the public at no cost. Show less
