Jan 2001 - Dec 2002
- Supervised internal development team of 12, quality assurance team of 3 and external Lockheed Martin Teams and their subs to develop the TMS system as well as The SmartMeter, which consists of a solid-state meter, an advanced SSI module and a communication device. These components work in conjunction to become an intelligent client to TMS. The ANSI standard meter provides all standard metering functions and acts as the database for the integrated device by storing metering data in ANSI tables. The SSI module is responsible for monitoring various tables within the meter, executing scheduled tasks and monitoring for power outages or other alarm conditions. The SmartMeter System is designed for the SmartMeter to operate in an autonomous manner, having responsibility for monitoring both interval schedules (daily, weekly, etc.) and exceptions. In this way, data can be sent from the device in near real time. This model differs from traditional metering models in which each device is polled remotely by a head-end software system.- Managed the hardware development area of the SmartMeter product, which encompassed working closely with meter manufacturers, both internal and external firmware designers and developers, and meter integrators to ensure products were defect free, passed all FCC testing, and met all ANSI standards.- Authored and implemented change control procedures that allowed both software and firmware development teams to more accurately manage point releases and defect tracking.- Member Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. 2001– 2002.
