As the leader of our development and communcations teams, I direct our fundraising strategy and shape our message. I identify, qualify, cultivate, built and steward new and existing partnerships. By creating opportunities for individuals, businesses and foundations to join the movement for Streets for All, I ensure Trailnet will continue to lead in fostering healthy, active, and vibrant communities where walking, biking and the use of public transit are a way of life. I empowered team captains and participants to raise critical funds for cancer research. I built relationships with people who are passionate about creating a world without cancer and connected them with opportunities to make that dream a reality. I used data to drive our team's decisions on recruitment and fundraising. I identified, qualified, recruited and stewarded team captains, donors and sponsors. By providing first class customer service, I ensured that every Pedal participant knew that they were truly making an impact on the lives of cancer fighters in our community and around the world. I also managed Friends of Pedal, a group of young professionals who support Pedal the Cause and raise $10,000 through an annual, signature fundraising event.

I introduce adults to the sport of rowing, and often, to a new level of fitness and health! I teach brand new rowers everything about the sport - the lingo, the expectations, the equipment, and the technique. On top of that, I teach them how to train hard but smart, and prepare them to race in three or four regattas a year. In addition, I often have to mediate disputes between athletes, make tough decisions regarding advancement within the club, and help athletes set realistic goals for themselves.

I provided support to a dynamic Development office and communicated regularly with donors. I loved having the opportunity to appreciate and acknowledge the supporters who make it possible for HSMO to help animals of all sizes throughout Missouri and the region. I planned and executed 5 - 7 donor appreciation events per year, including three donor luncheons, two holiday parties, and two additional events for HSMO's Women's Leadership Council. I coordinated other donor recognition activities throughout the year and tracked acknowledgement for major gifts. I also managed promotion, renewal reminders, and fulfillment for HSMO and LMRR's sponsorship programs -- Barn Buddies and Fur-Ever Friends. Finally, I managed the placement of tributes and memorials in Carol Gates Throop Park.

I provided a wide ranging support to a small but highly active organization during a busy election season. In support of the Executive Director, I filed regular ethics reports, ordered office supplies, maintained records of political work, updated the donor database, and completed other tasks as needed. I also assisted in planning and executing the annual Auction and Gala for 330 guests by coordinating acquisitions, mailings, RSVPs, and venue details. For the annual newsletter and annual fundraising appeal, I managed the entire process from beginning to end by pulling mailing lists and composing, designing, edited, and mailing the updates. During the 2014 battle to impose a 72-hour waiting period for abortion access in Missouri, I collaborated with a network of organizations in opposition to the bill and led the recruitment of speakers for the rally at the capital. Finally, I prepared materials for and attended board and associate board meetings. During my time overseeing the Associate Board, they held their first ever fundraiser, a successful pub-crawl in The Grove neighborhood.
