Corine is a spirited HR Leader who has partnered Shell India on managing a range of expat mobility and cultural issues. She bought a great deal of structure, objectivity and meaning to the partnership, and as a result has set the benchmark at a higher level for Outpost Services for Shell India. As a true partner, she balanced alignment /support amongst teams whilst bringing the right set of challenges forward. We have benefitted greatly from Corine's contributions and wish her well in her future endeavours

I worked with Corine for more than 3 years when she volunteered as Focal Point and Team Lead for Shell's "Outpost" (expat support group) in India. I was very impressed with the business focus she brought to her role, particularly when dealing with incoming expatriates and their families. As being part of an expat fraternity herself Corine understood the pulse of an expat and strived to deliver very professionally and punctually. She brought in a lot of value to me while delivering my role at the New Technology Centre Bangalore.

    • Focal Point / Manager Shell Outpost Bangalore
      • Aug 2013 - Sep 2015

As Focal Point / manager of the Bangalore Outpost team, I have recruited, built and managed a team of 6 team members and 9 volunteers of many nationalities, which demanded a lot of diplomacy and motivational skills. My team and I have been responsible for delivering a range of professional and cost effective services to Shell expat families. Coaching the team members and managing the team has led to a big improvement of Outpost Bangalore's professionalism. Both the work and the services offered improved in number of different services, quality and reliability. I have built an effective, professional and positive relationship with the Shell HR department. My HR background was very beneficial in liaising with HR and finding the best way to work in the interest of both HR and the expat or the expat partner.Being part of the Shell Core Team for the New Technology Center Bangalore (NTCB) included advising the company about expat needs, as well as advising expats about the move to the new location.Shell Outpost Bangalore is part of a unique expatriate support system designed to help Shell’s internationally mobile staff and their families facing the challenges of global mobility. With 46 locations in 30 countries, Outpost teams provide practical relocation support to employees and their families; before, during and after international assignments. Show less
