  I am currently developing my doctoral thesis which is centred on Romania and Bulgaria’s compliance with European legislation track record in the post-accession period. My approach takes into account not only transposition of legally binding acts, but also focuses on progress made by the Romanian and Bulgarian governments towards reaching the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism benchmarks and political responses within the two countries towards EU soft law governance mechanisms.
