      • Dec 2014 - Oct 2015

At UC Berkeley I was charged with managing yield outreach efforts for all admitted students, with a particular concentration on women— a population that is incredibly underrepresented in graduate management education. Additionally, I singlehandedly performed a six year comprehensive yield analysis to evaluate and improve the admitted student yield rate. I gained valuable experience evaluating international applicants from Western Europe, Mexico, South America, Oceana, and Africa. Additionally, I developed and led two large workshops—one internal development conference, and Haas’ Fall Diversity Workshop, where we hosted over 300 underrepresented applicants interested in pursuing an MBA at Berkeley-Haas.

    • Senior Assistant Director, Office of Undergraduate Admission
      • Jun 2012 - Dec 2014

As Senior Assistant Director at the University of Southern California, Office of Admission, I recruited primarily in an underserved and diverse region of Southern California and was the sole recruiter for the entire state of Florida. Additionally, I recruited in the states of Georgia, Tennessee, Massachusetts, and New York— visiting over 150 different high schools during my tenure. On average I worked with 1,400 applicants annually, and led a team of five assistant directors who served 7,500 students each year. Some of my duties included evaluating admission applications, preparing and executing extensive recruitment trips utilizing USC institutional data as well as College Board’s Search Services, serving as an expert resource for prospective students and their families, developing and maintaining professional relationships with schools and college counselors, and providing guidance to admitted students with the objective of securing matriculation. I also was one of the creators of USC’s Admission Blog, which we designed to give freshman and transfer applicants a “behind-the-scenes” look at the admission process, so I’m quite comfortable demystifying what can sometimes feel like an extremely overwhelming process for students and their families. In addition to my daily duties and leading my team, I was one of five members of USC’s Admission Committee for Athletics that met bi-weekly with the Senior Associate Athletic Director, so I’m very familiar with the additional steps student athletes must keep in mind when applying to colleges. I, along with the Dean of Admission and the Director of Admission, served as a voting member on all student athlete applications for admission, including both domestic and international athletes.
