Ensuring that the quality system meets internal, customer and regulatory requirements and is followed throughout the organization. Monitor daily performance, evaluate current processes and procedures, identify improvement opportunities and present recommendations to senior leaders. Investigate customer questions, complaints and product rejections to determine proper course of action. Partner with coworkers from Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and Accounting to research problems and improve quality. Developing key quality measurements encompassing customer, supplier and internal operations. Provides quality-focused statistical reports for the Management team on a regular basis. Manage the quality department through instructing and supervising the quality inspector and other members of the quality team. Assist sales and purchasing staff with technical and specification issues on orders. Determine training needs and setting goals working with department managers. Attend infrequent off-site trainings and meetings.
