Anyone that knows Corey is able to recognize his brilliance. I remember a program he created in the 90's that enabled Southwestern Bell to automate their cable maps in AutoCAD. This saved the company millions of dollars. He taught himself everything, with no help, in his spare time, and without anyone even asking him for it. He taught himself web development (and taught me as well). Back in early 2000, I watched him create a fully functional content editor that was better than FrontPage, and using only plain vanilla JavaScript, HMTL, and XML. At the time (in 2000), there was no such tool. He created it from scratch in a few hours, and I watched him do it. He didn't search the internet for code to get him started. He just started typing [occasionally groaning], and before you knew it, it was working! Simply amazing. I've also watched him create other amazing apps from literally nothing, including a augmented reality app that is still one of the best at recognizing targets I have ever seen. Not to mention a custom SVG/HTML5 editor that was superior to Inkscape, and rivals Photoshop in layering, and special effects features. All custom. All from his brilliant mind. All in the blink-of-an-eye. Having said all of that, his technical genius is not what most people notice, or remember (or realize for that matter). His humility, patience, kindness, and helpfulness are probably at the top of the list. His work ethic is probably up there on the list as well. I have seen him work days on end with virtually no sleep. I'm not sure how he he did it, but one thing is for certain. Anyone that works will him will sleep better [even if he doesn't] knowing he is on the job. Whether he's building a new company from the ground-up, or just showing off by building an app the rest of us "mere mortals" could only dream of, he never fails to amaze with his brilliant mind, and gigantic heart.
