It was my good fortune to recruit Corene for the Office Manager role at Maxim Litigation Consultants, to work with her subsequently at Lavan Legal and to have the benefit of her expertise in her time as a consultant. Nothing was too great an ask; very little was beyond her capabilities; everything Corene undertook was managed efficiently and professionally. Corene was a huge asset in our practices and will always be a huge asset to any organisation she chooses to work with.

Corene is the consummate professional

Corene’s aim in providing practice management consulting services was to assist partners in being released from the administration management items so that they are able to concentrate on client work and bring in more revenue for their firm. Whilst some may believe that consulting is purely an additional expense, she believes that it is a small cost compared to the additional revenue that can be generated by partners being able to concentrate on what they do best by servicing their clients. A partner spending one hour on an administration management item can be at the cost of client billable hours – compared to a much smaller cost by using a consultant such as herself.

Corene's main responsibility was to ensure that the day to day operations of the business ran smoothly. This incorporated general office management, premises management, quality procedures management and vendor management. As a member of Lavan Legal's Executive Team, Corene was also involved with the implementation of the firm's strategic approach to office and practice management issues and the formulation and dissemination of all firm policies connected with those areas.
