For over two years I've worked with Defected and Classic music as a recording artist, working with Luke Soloman, Honey Dijon, Dave + Sam, Jason Kriv and Tim Kvasnosky. Because I was able to organically parlay my other creative skills, I've been able to add Creative Director to my experience with them. On the 3-part animation (part one below), I worked directly with (A&R) Luke Soloman and (Music Producer + DJ) Honey Dijon to build out, and ultimately, write a three-part animation. We then hired Ciran McCusker and his team of 5 animators to bring this story to life. Although initially hired to creative director, I had the good fortune to also co-direct and write the animation with a fantastic team at Classic Music + Defected Records. I'm currently helping the same team build out an unannounced project in addition to new music I will be releasing with them. • Film Director and Music Composer
      • Aug 2020 - Sep 2020

Working with the founder and CEO of the new LA Black LGBTQ movement was a pleasure. I was hired based on previous writing work I did for the organization which I got via recommendation, Malaku McCray. After successfully completing other work, and once Paul learned about my background in music and cinema, he asked me to pitch a PSA to direct and produce. I got the job and was able to produce, direct and compose the music for a very powerful piece encouraging people to vote; executing a successful outcome. The campaign was mainly for social media pushes, but it also exists on youtube (linked below). I was able to reach into my network and hire a former DePaul University student, Antonio Zapiain Luna, as my director of photography and editor. Show less

Under my multi-media production company, I shot and directed my first video under the constraints of COVID-19. With the limitations, we filmed in separate locations, incorporating the quarantine into the creative vision of the story using a split-screen and other visual (and narrative) tools to juxtapose the music. Edited by Beverly Batzel 'I'm Scared' is a song that was released in May of 2020 in response to being an artist stuck at home with, song co-writer and video co-star, Priscilla Perry. I was the producer of the track, co-writer, and director of the music video, linked below. Show less
