I have been a waitress and a bartender at the Hilton Olympia Hotel, London, UK. This work was intense and physically demanding but it was extremely formative in terms of customer relationship and resilience to stress. From on-floor service, to room service, this work was an excellent practice for self-control under pressure: Customers expect the best service at any time of the day or of the night. My role was to provided them with an outstanding and remarkable service, to show some empathy and anticipate any of their desire in order to obtain their maximum satisfaction and also to be positive and smiling from the beginning of my shift until the end.
