HCIC also includes as affiliated members public bodies and organisations, legal entities of public and private law, educational, research and other non-profit institutions and bodies which are directly or indirectly involved in infrastructure and construction industry. The main objectives of the HCIC are: • to promote the Greek infrastructure and construction industry and enhance its contribution to the development of the Greek economy, • to ensure the sustainable development of the Greek infrastructure and construction industry and improve its productivity, competitiveness and quality for the benefit of society and the environment, • to safeguard the fundamental principles of transparency and sound competition in the implementation of public and private works in the country, • to promote sound, responsible and quality entrepreneurship in the infrastructure and construction industry, • to safeguard and represent the interests and rights of its members, • the unified representation of its members in national and international organisations, bodies, committees and fora related to and/or affecting the infrastructure and construction industry, • to enhance cooperation among its members, • to promote and disseminate the work of its members to the community.
