Bio
Darrell Hawkins
Conor O’Neill, is a senior-level data center and IT infrastructure consultant, who brings with him significant technical and analysis skills in managing and executing IT projects. I have had the pleasure of working with Conor over the last 5 years. Within our Data Center Services (DCS) practice, Conor was responsible for implementing key data center infrastructure management (DCIM) technologies that greatly improved the energy efficiency of our most critical data centers within IBM (~43 sites). The result of which led to his recognition (and our small consulting practice) by our IBM Chairman for saving the company $41M in cost avoidance: saving 375,000 megawatt-hours (25.8% of electricity consumption) from 2012-2014, and avoiding 169,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions. Within the data center environment, he has extensive experience and versatility in managing IT assets across multiple locations and industries (financial sector, public sector, healthcare, etc.). Not only does he have a keen eye for managing all of the environmentals (build outs, capacity planning, energy consumption, regulatory requirements, security protocols, etc.) but he understands the best practices that support appropriate cost allocations within an IT budget. This is what makes Conor an effective leader: he’s technically savvy and he understands how to meet a client’s overall business goals and objectives. In many situations, clients may not truly understand all of the IT
Bruno H.
Thru his career in IBM, Conor has continuously been a key contributor to projects he's been involved in or leading. He demonstrated strong technical skills, excellent teamwork capabilities and strong project leadership and governance capacities. His knowledge of Data Center domains, infrastructure, environmentals management and raised floor management are highly valuable for any organisation facing challenges in these areas. I have no doubt he will bring strong value add to any project he will decide to join. I highly recommend Conor for any organisation looking for such a strong and experience technical leader.
