      While at sea I carried out various tasks associated with the role of an engineer on board a merchant navy vessel. During my first sea phase onboard the M.V. Lily Atlantic I familiarised myself with day to day tasks varying from small cleaning jobs to main engine piston overhauls. I also traced out the ships systems to learn. On my second sea phase onboard the M.V. Clifton Bay I solidfied the knowledge and training that I had gained on the M.V. Lily Atlantic. Both vessels were deep sea bulk carriers.
