Samen met kinderen staat Stichting Nationale Kinderherdenking 4 mei (SNKH) stil bij de betekenis van leven in vrijheid. De SNKH is meer dan alleen de jaarlijkse herdenking op 4 mei. We willen dat kinderen ook voorafgaand aan de kinderherdenking aan de slag gaan met de thema’s herdenken, vrijheid en verzet. Door kinderen aan te spreken in hun eigen taal en intensief te betrekken, ontstaat er beleving vanuit het kind zelf. The Invictus Games is an international adaptive sporting event for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women, both serving and veteran. The Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect of all those who serve their country. The inaugural Invictus Games was held in London in September 2014. Since then, the Invictus Games have been held in Orlando, USA in 2016 and Toronto, Canada in 2017. The fourth iteration of the Invictus Games is taking place in Sydney, Australia this October from the 20th-27th. The fifth Games will be hosted in The Hague in 2020. Show less
