Company I used to work for summers 2016 & 2017. Acquired company from previous owners in early 2021, and was shut down for the summer of 2021 after Fully-Booked Summer & ready to operate. After total despair, I was absolutely not ready to give up. I started doing what I was good at in the industry helping a local dealership deliver boats, and in that time determined the new demand in the industry. General Boating Instruction for new boat owners. During covid, everyone was buying boats, and no one actually knew how to use them correctly. I used my current network, and now new customer list to start marketing what we now call at Lakeside Watersports my "Captain Service". I was fully booked every weekend with people either needing me to teach them everything about their boats, how to dock their boats, how to pull someone doing water sports, drive their boat for them or simply advanced water sports instruction that's my main skill. Amazing innovation I have now added to the business, and we are now fully permitted. Through continued persistence of providing public access to water sports we are now operating out of Echo Bay Marina in Brookfield, CT. Everything happens for a reason in the business world if your provide undeniable value. We had an amazing first year in 2022. Captain Service was fully booked, and our 1 Boat had a waiting list every weekend. Right now, we are preparing for the 2023 Season with another brand new 2023 MasterCraft 24 NXT from Echo Bay Marina, adding to our fleet. Since we will be running 2 boats now, I will have a staff of 20 people. We have also implemented a new booking software we are building with a company to automate tasks, and correct the mistakes we learned in 2023. We are only getting stronger and better with our company systems. We have also created new partnerships that will facilitate the entire customer journey of getting into the boating industry.
