  As a systems engineer I was the final level of escalation for server or infrastructure issues, was responsible for managing multiple physical data centers, cloud environments, as well as the design, implementation, and maintenance of our production app server environment including daily break/fix tasks. I managed everything from physical servers, to VMs, to routers, switches, and load balancers, firewalls, and WAFs.Some highlights include: Automating the provisioning of production app servers with ansible, introducing IaC concepts to the environment. This enabled us to make production changes more quickly since configuration was automated, and helped the team stay on the same page since our infrastructure was now all defined in code. Migrating one of our production data centers across the country while maintaining necessary service levels. Key resource in wide scale ransomware recovery, critical services back online in ~48hrs.   Carried over responsibilities from previous position. During this time I deployed graylog and instrumented the devices in our environment to forward necessary security logs. Created dashboards with important security metrics, set up alerts on relevant events, and used software skills to tie graylog to other systems, ex. automatically doing threat Intel look ups for user web traffic.Outside of security, I began building business intelligence reports using SQL and Oracle Application Express.
