Starting on tour with Luna's Summer 2022 season, there was a fluidity in the roles I was taking on site which led to me learning a great deal of different skills throughout the three months. Starting off with site details such as assembling the sponsor details; welcome arch and other truss; as well as assisting with lighting on the site, eventually I began to learn how to run the AV and work with the projector; set up the inflatable screens and troubleshoot the production set up in the event of any issues. In gaps between seasons I have been working for the warehouse in Luna, helping to prep and move any resources needed for other events as well as learning the ins and outs of the equipment we use, and how to keep them functional andensure that they are suitable for use. In December 2022 I worked as the site technician for the Luna Winter Cinema, adrive in cinema running an LED screen as well as a network of bluetooth speakers provided to all cars. Working in a team with the event manager I would keep the site running on the day to day, as well as fixing issues as/if they arose. I was also involved in the build and pack down of the site. Working as general crew for Silverback Events. I have been placed on a wide range of different events that have all been different and interesting. As I have experience being part of the event team for a project and working with crew, it has been a great experience to work on the other side of this relationship and be able to tackle things that I have no real information about beforehand. Performing as a character in one of the events many scare mazes. I was given the resposibility of controlling one of the more complicated pieces of technology in the form of a cage that would spark on contact with a machete that i was given. I also had to ensure that all visitor would move on safely and quickly in order to keep a steady pace through the night. The final responsibility was to deal with any one who reacted badly to the maze with compassion and try to calm them as we led them out.
