I have increased my responsibilities at Systima Technologies Inc., a Division of Karman Space and Defense from a Development Engineer II to Project Engineer. As the lead Project Engineer, my primary function is to continue to develop, test, and deploy an aerospace and defense mechanical product working as lead for a multi-disciplinary team of engineers. I have taken on project engineer for this program and have been tasked and trusted with leading customer meetings, program progression and budgeting, and completion of test plans for this product. I continue to execute and lead completion of flight qualification testing satisfying both Army and Navy requirements for military fuze technology while also undertaking the responsibilities of program manager; budgeting, scheduling, and customer communications shall now be identified as my responsibility by my role within the program.My position and title change is aimed to: - Plan and execute program pertaining to mechanical system development, including budgeting, scheduling, testing, and reporting results in a technical and efficient manner.- Maintain schedule and budget using Microsoft Project and similar office suite items. - Ensure completion of client goals on time, within budget, and ensuring the product conforms to the highest standards of excellence. - Support business development and project performance efforts to meet customer needs. - Effectively interact with technical staff for proposal development and project performance. - Effectively relay information to the customer, including private and military. - Document and report findings with high level detail. - Assume leadership and assign proper delegations in assistance for completing the program. - Perform duties of Test Engineer and ensure completion of tests within budget and time constraints. After 10 months as a team member of Systima Technologies Inc., a Division of Karman Space and Defense, I have advanced my position to a Development Engineer II. As a Development Engineer II, my primary function is to continue to develop, test, and deploy aerospace and defense mechanical products and systems working as part of a member of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers for a great company. I have been tasked and trusted with more responsibilities for customer meetings, program progression, and test plans since my initial hiring of Development Engineer I. I have worked alongside our customer to develop a proper test plan and methodology for completing flight qualification testing while satisfying both Army and Navy requirements. During my college experience, I pursued a part-time job implementing what I learned in engineering economics and engineering sales, and decided to work with Spokane Roofing for one semester to see first-hand the process of implementing projects. Work experience revolved around creating accurate and feasible bids as a subcontractor in the greater-Spokane area. Using full-size blueprints or satellite imaging, measurements were taken and calculated using mathematics and formulas in Microsoft Excel to create an accurate cost out for bidding potential jobs. I left this opportunity to return home after my graduation from Gonzaga University. Working here for one semester gave me immense knowledge and experience in the construction and estimation field.
