  • Mastered experimental skills including many molecular biology and E.coli cell culture techniques.o Performed IPTG Induction in E.coli alongside Shaker Flask Growth experiments to harvest large amounts of modified bacteria expressing a gene of interest, which included the use of a spectrophotometer to record absorbance levels, and therefore estimate relative quantities of bacteria.o Implemented Cell Lysis, Cobalt Column Purification, Buffer Exchange, and Western Blotting, experiments to purify and verify the expression of a protein of interest in modified bacteria.o Conducted BCA assays to quantify the average amount of the protein of interest being expressed in the modified bacteria.o Carried out phospholipid quantification assays to quantify amounts of lipid that typically binded to the protein of interest.• Wrote a thesis on the “Purification and Expression of Rubber Biosynthesis Proteins for In Vitro Assays” Show less
