      The brewer operates our 120-barrel automated Rolec Brewhouse in accordance with company standard operating procedures and guidelines (SOP/SOG). Aspects of this include every step of beer production starting from ingredients to the final product and production of our award winning SMASH line of RTD premium canned cocktails. In addition, the brewer is responsible for pre/post-cleaning and sanitation of all transfer lines and vessels. The brewer is also responsible for cellar tasks including, but not limited to, yeast pitching, filtration, beer transfers, tank CIPs, various fermentation additions, handling of hazardous chemicals, keeping accurate inventory/quality management of raw materials/chemicals, maintenance of parts and hoses. The brewer is expected to be punctual, self-motivated, follow all safety procedures, and contribute within a teamwork environment. Lastly, the brewer will represent Devils Backbone Brewing Company at beer festivals.Member of the Devils Backbone Safety Committee since 2021.       This was a cross training opportunity for qualified Production Brewers to work with our R&D | Innovation Team.Responsibilities included operating a 10 HL Caspary Brewhouse brewing 24+ one-off beers in a 6 month period, recipe creation, cellaring, filtration/centrifuge, CIPs, kegging, logging, logistics, and packaging on a Wild Goose Canning Line. In addition, I updated current SOPs and tracked all brews during my 6 months submitting a proposal to increase Brewhouse Efficiency.R&D | Innovation Team was Awarded 2022 US Open Beer Championship Silver Medal in Tea Beer category with Spill the Tea Ale.
