Conveyancer

Mar 2021 - Present
After a year away from working at a law firm, I was invited to come back to conveyancing. Being a conveyancer was a role that I was good at, and after considering my options, I decided to return to the industry to succeed with another firm. I originally joined Birchall Blackburn as a conveyancing assistant to a very experienced senior conveyancing executive, however after only a few short months, I was quickly promoted to become a conveyancing paralegal, with the next step being a conveyancing executive myself after 2 years. Since I have worked at Birchall Blackburn, I have consistently hit my targets by over 120%, 130% and even 140% per quarter which displays my remarkable capability of completing transactions within a quick turnaround. Similarly to my time at DC Law, I have dependably aided members of my team and have been a point of contact for those needing assistance/teaching. I have also continued my personal philosophy of never being content with staying still and have continued to extend my development and progression with this role. Show less

Social Care Worker
-
Dec 2019 - Dec 2020
I began this role with these two different companies to return to working with children as I believe it is incredibly important that we aid, educate and develop the next generation to achieve their own successes and to become upstanding citizens in our society. Within my first couple of weeks in this industry, I was head hunted to be a part of a team in a particularly complex and difficult provision, which I successfully performed in, as I would help educate and promote positive childhood experiences. Following 5 months in that provision, I became a valuable member of the company moving between a number of the provisions and community packages, assisting all of the care teams with the care of the young people, the upkeep of the households and the extensive computer/paper-based reporting in co-operation with social workers, police and medical professionals. I also became entrusted to create educational packages for all young people within the company. Lastly before I left, I was hand-picked to be an important part of a new team starting with a new provision. Show less

Conveyancer
-
May 2017 - Oct 2019
Being a Conveyancer is a complex role as you manage the legal side of a client’s sale or purchase of their property as their appointed panel solicitor using computer-based programs and consulting with other solicitors, estate agents, mortgage advisors etc. When I first joined this company, I was simply on a temporary summer contract as a member of the support staff. Due to my high performance and success, I managed to obtain a permanent contract and promotion to trainee conveyancer by the end of the Summer. After a further six months I was promoted again to Intermediate Conveyancer which was followed by a pay rise around six months after that for controlling a case load of 100+ files over the Summer of 2018. Lastly, I was promoted for a third time to Associate Conveyancer which I had been for the last 10 months of my time there. I believe my rapid trajectory up the promotion ladder clearly shows my ability to learn, adapt and perform at an exceptional standard. I was often touted by numerous senior staff as a potential team manager in the near future before I chose to leave for pastures new and had even covered the team manager role on a couple of occasions when my manager was absent from the office due to not only my excellent team player traits, but also a clear ability to lead. I volunteered to help assist the coaching and management of Southport’s U18 team which was a great experience as it was my first involvement with a semi-professional team and was the next step towards the professional game. I took full control of every training session, coaching a group of highly talented young players. I also assisted the travel to and from matchdays where I would lead the warm-up and on the odd occasion, even take charge of the team that day. Sales Supervisor

Feb 2015 - Jun 2016
I started this job only working 1-2 days a week as a sales assistant performing general retail duties such as working behind the till and cleaning the store but after just a few months, I was promoted to sales supervisor and I was working 5 days a week, taking up duties like opening/closing the store, managing the stock take/deliveries, managing the money in store etc. Not only was I the youngest supervisor but I was the youngest employee in that location showing my pedigree as a trustworthy individual. This position meant that I was the responsible member of staff, and so I was entrusted to manage the shop when the designated manager was not present, everything under my shift was my responsibility which illustrates how I can handle the pressure of a demanding job as well as the pressure of managing my co-workers. Aug 2013 - May 2015
I did work experience as a football coach under the guidance of ex-world cup player David Campbell working in schools throughout Merseyside with all different age groups. The experience I gained from this was invaluable in helping to make me the man I am today. I also helped coach during the Easter soccer camps between 5/4/17 - 11/4/17. I trained in, and coached both the theory and the practical parts of football/sport, encouraging all forms of participation no matter age, gender, disability etc. Show less
