I work closely with President Dr. Melinda Treadwell, the Provost, William Seigh, and the Executive Associate, Cynthia Krautwurst. Planning events, monitoring meetings, meeting with the marketing team, and being the face of the front desk in the President's Office

  I was a part of a team of three who lead a design project for a Pre-Primary school in a village called Bucundura, in Southern Uganda. I was also in a group of four people that included two architectural professors and another student who spent three weeks in Rwanda and Uganda to see the site for the project and to gain insight about local construction and design methods from an architectural firm in Kigali Rwanda called Active Social Architecture (ASA), who will be involved in the build of this project.   As the Intern to Manypenny Murphy I worked closely with the Architects to complete drawings for projects, offer any design input I may have had, and I was given the opportunity to accompany some of my coworkers on site visits for site surveys and analysis. Throughout the summer I worked on another project independently which was for Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth NH, where I completed a conditions assessment report and drew the existing conditions drawings for one of their houses called the Penhallow House. This project gave me great insight into Historical restoration and the possibility for adaptive reuse design. Show less
