I was apart of the grand opening for this basecamp location. I had to do everything from cleaning up the studio to selling memberships. I gained extensive knowledge in sales and how to reach out to new clients, whether it be from walking on the street or making phone calls, I had to sell everyday to help the club grow. The first school we wanted to get into was Loyola Chicago, and I was tasked with figuring out a distributor. The distributor needed freezers for the meals and the option of delivering the meals to Loyola. My other task was to figure out how many meals needed to be shipped to the U.S. per month and how many meals needed to be stored next to the vending machine in case of a busy week. I also had to figure out the margins per pallet which included the cost and revenue per pallet to maximize profit. Overall it helped me strengthen my communication and excel skills, while also showing me the relations between supply and demand and how it changes when dealing with an international business.
