Neal is a pleasure to work with as well as a pleasure to be around. He is kind, highly skilled, driven, and endlessly passionate about design. He takes initiative to stay up to date every day with what is going on in the design world and applies it to his work at Spiceworks. He is constantly growing, sharing and excited about creating valuable solutions for our clients through design. He is a self-starter, always smiling, and someone who always jumps in to help wherever help is needed. He’s the kind of guy to ask you how your Mom is doing with her big move that you told him about a month ago… doesn’t miss a thing. I am blessed to have worked with and learned from such a good egg! He would be a wonderful addition to any strong design team.

Incredible designs that have proven time and time again to get sales prospects to pick up the phone and call us. That’s simply the best description of Neal’s work. I've worked with Neal at Team West since he first came on board as a graphic designer all the way through his current position as Creative Director for our brokerage. Above all, I am impressed with Neal’s ability to take an unformed idea and a set of specific business needs and create marketing collateral that was both beautiful and effective. And of course, his cheerful and hard-working work attitude is a great addition to any office. Neal would be a true asset for any organization and comes with my heartfelt recommendation.

I design digital consumer and B2B products. Following the double diamond design approach, I collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and designers to discover, ideate, refine, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure a smooth design handoff, through the use of Q&A and user testing to seek improvements. I lead and participate in design ideation sessions and workshops with key stakeholders and other designers in order to align and discover all possible product requirements and scalable product needs. I condone product research and synthesize results into helpful documents such as product audits, user personas, story maps, workflows, and help determine the project timeline and scope. I’m using Figma and Sketch primarily as well as any other possible collaboration tool the project requires. Show less

With tools like Sketch, Origami, Illustrator, and After Effects, I redesigned UI elements and UX framework of the Facebook Marketing Hub leading to increased active campaigns and document sharing. Using and building on to an enterprise-level component library, I was responsible for creating marketing content pages. I worked closely with the development team and other cross-functional teams on a daily basis to contribute to long- and short-term design projects. As a designer for the ad creative team, my team functioned as an ad agency in the tech space. I had the chance to wear many hats as a product designer, illustrator, and even web-developer (HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, light JavaScript). Starting from sketches, I designed and sometimes developed digital products from microsites to interactive quizzes built for mobile and desktop breakpoints. I also designed and animated motion-based infographics (gifographics) working closely with a team of copy writers for clients such as Apple, HP, Samsung, Lenovo, Google, Microsoft, to name a few. I operated as a UX and design consultant designing and creating websites, as well as designing marketing and branding materials for marketing campaigns for individual agents. I coached and mentored staff to optimize campaigns, driving leads higher than 33% for every agent that I worked with closely. My services were then expanded to company-wide consultation as there became a decreasing demand for my services for both digital campaigns and branding materials. I operated as creative director to create and pitch the event look and feel, the logo, and marketing materials to stakeholders for two annual fundraising events. The materials I designed were event logos, posters, post cards, business cards, tickets, t-shirts, and social media banners. During the duration of my efforts with the Octopus Club, the non-profit organization reached $2 million in total revenue—a milestone after over 20 years in operation. The Octopus Club is a non-profit that raises awareness and funds for the Paul Kirby Emergency Fund that provides emergency financial assistance to those living with HIV and AIDS in Central Texas. I designed digital content such as emails and social media banners for the urban planning department. The full emails and newsletters that I designed were for both internal staff and the public, providing awareness to the organization and city events.
