It is a socio-sanitary and social assistance structure for children with mental retardation and genetic syndrome and for adults with neurological disorder. I attended the team meetings and I dealt with the functional evaluation of the patients, the administration of psychological tests and reporting. La struttura offre diversi servizi in ambito educativo, socio-sanitario e socio-assistenziale. La mia tutor, la dott.ssa Silvana Spampinato, riveste il ruolo di psicologa nel reparto ambulatoriale del padiglione B. I servizi erano rivolti a soggetti in età evolutiva con quadri clinici riferibili a ritardi mentali di vario grado, sindromi genetiche e cromosomiche e a soggetti adulti che presentavano patologie neurologiche. Ho osservato la somministrazione di vari test tra cui il test di Bender, la Wisc-R, il test di intelligenza di Goodenough; e partecipato alle riunioni di équipe relativamente ai pazienti che la mia tutor aveva deciso di farmi osservare in modo da comprendere I diversi approcci e aumentare in tal modo la mia capacità critica
