      I have recently completed a 4 year apprenticeship where I became qualified as an Electrical Technician. My time was served at South Humber Bank Power Station in Stallingborough. Over the past couple of months, I decided to further my education and become multi-skilled. My second NVQ in Instrumentation is on-going and nearly completed.Since my Apprenticeship ended i have been fulfilling the role of Electrical Technician at Killingholme and Brigg Power Stations.Experience at South Humber Bank Power Station, Killingholme Power Station and Glandford Brigg Power Station.Duties: Carrying out day to day routine maintenance on plant. Fault finding when defects occur both electrical and instrumentation. Preparing Steam Cycle for decommissioning at Brigg Power Station. Ensuring plant reliability at Killingholme Power Station throughout the SBR period. Bringing Killingholme Power Station back from preservation to run in the SBR market including proving runs. Preparing South Humber Bank Power Station's phase one for preservation through 2015-2016 for the capacity market in 2018.Projects: Disconnection of two steam turbines and HRSG's at Brigg Power Station from the DCS system ready for demolition in March 2016. Projects: Designed, built and commisioned oil retention pit control panel at South Humber Bank Power Station for environmental permit to generate.Outages: Assisted contract partners in major shutdown in which we upgraded our Gas Turbines to MXL2 and completed a modification to the air box wall on the Steam Turbine. Working along side Alstom and ABB, upgraded the Startex software and service the main circuit breakers. Assisted Alstom with rotor removal on all Gas Turbines and Sensoplan with the Steam Turbine.Outages: Carried out numerous B inspections with Alstom on all Generators and Gas Turbines. Outage: Overhaul of Cooling Water Pump House, which included removal of 6.6Kv motors and pumps. Show less
