Adam Combs is the real deal! Without his sacrifice, commitment, abilities, and expertise, Waypoint Adventure wouldn't exist. Adam's passion for making adventure education accessible for people with disabilities fueled him and our team for 10 years. I'll never be able to say thank you enough to him for making Waypoint's mission possible. He will be an asset and a strong team member on every team he joins in the future.

Adam is a true founder. He has big vision as well as the drive to turn that vision into reality. I saw Adam do this at Waypoint, taking it from some very humble beginnings to an organization with real scale and impact. My family and I have volunteered and supported Waypoint in many ways and that is largely because of Adam. He combines his genuine relational approach with specific knowledge and skill sets to make a real difference for people with disabilities, and he turns everything in life into a real adventure.

Outdoor Explorations was a 501c3 non-profit whose mission was to break down barriers to adventure for people with disabilities. During my tenure at OE, I worked to design, coordinate and facilitate all outdoor adventure programs for youth and adults with disabilities as well as train and manage a team of over 200 yearly volunteers. One of my primary focus areas was developing partnerships with schools and social service agencies and writing customized curriculum and lessons that use adventure to support students' social and emotional development.
