I am a Backend Software Engineer developing SSI and verifiable credential solutions using Open-Source technologies, as well as assisting our customers in coming up to speed with the same software and ensuring that bugs get fixed. I also assist fellow team members via mentoring and helping with any questions that they may have and struggles that they encounter while doing their day-to-day job. IMAT Solutions is a new, disruptive medical data management and decision support company. Every day, our software processes tens of millions of records to help 30,000 healthcare professionals working for 2,000 Health Information Exchanges, Accountable Care Organizations, Medical Homes, hospitals and clinics to provide the best possible healthcare to almost 20 million patients. Based on patented technology, IMAT has been developed to address the ever more complex and demanding needs of today’s healthcare providers and practitioners. Our product is based on a completely new approach to ingesting, storing and processing massive amounts of structured and unstructured data from EHRs, lab results, physician notes, transcripts, ADTs, and more. This patented design delivers disruptive speed, superior data accuracy, easy to use charting, reports and queries, and is highly cost-effective. Started on the testing team, but quickly switched to the dev team. I worked on the middleware services and as such, I worked with multiple teams to ensure that major breakages did not occur between product releases. I also worked on, and helped architect, key core services that later became a major selling point to our product. Major concerns during architectural design were related to: Perceived speed to the customer, Reliability of the software, Failover for when things went wrong, Clustering/Distributing server workloads, backwards compatibility, and making sure to keep the stack flexible in case we needed to pivot. On top of all that, I also enjoyed the pleasure of teaching new and junior developers new tricks and helped them get up to speed on the codebase. Show less
