  I started my career in the City of El Cerrito as a patrol officer in 2002. I transferred to the City of National City in 2005. I promoted to the rank of Corporal in 2011. During my time here I have worked as a School Resource Officer for three years. This provided me with an abundance of experience with juvenile law and school administration. I am trained as a dispatcher and spent a year as cover for the unit. I took the Corporal position on the Gang Enforcement Team in 2016 and served 2 years. I was able to attack Human Trafficking head on and worked to close all but 2 illegal massage parlors in the city. I also gained experience about the inner working of our local gangs. I have worked as an undercover decoy in the area of prostitution and became an expert in Human Trafficking. I have testified as an expert as well as taught for WSIN, academy students, churches and non-profits. I finally took a desk job and left the street in 2018. I took the position in Child Sex Crimes to include the Intent Crimes Against Children Liaison. I am currently a Detective in the Investigations Unit.
