  Lake Erie Nature & Science Center is a a local not-for-profit that has been educating and inspiring children and families to understand and appreciate the natural world for nearly six decades. The not-for-profit Lake Erie Nature & Science Center fosters connections to nature and teaches natural sciences through hands-on discovery, more than 100 live animals, formal classes, outdoor exploration, and a world-class planetarium. Our volunteer Board of Directors actively participates in fundraising and Center events, and guides policies and processes to strengthen our organization's role as a valued and supported community resource in Northeast Ohio, and throughout the country.I am a Past President of the Board, and served on the Governance and Strategic Planning committees. Early in my work with the board, I assisted in the implementation and improvement of the performance plan and review process for the Executive Director.
