Responsible for managing the Financial Aid and Collections Department ensuring each student has a completed financial aid package encompassing 900+ student database and monitoring the cohort default rate to maintain tolerable levels within the USDOE standards. Monitor all currently attending students' files to make certain all disbursements from Pell grants, Federal Stafford and Plus loans and private student loans are being received in a timely manner and that no financial gaps exist on student's account. Audit all student's files to validate all necessary documents are received and all files are compliant with NACCAS and DOE regulations. Work with each School Director to identify any student not making satisfactory progress and place the student on probation. Counsel the student regarding their progress and discuss impact on federal loan financing if not maintained. Process student withdrawals for each location and complete refund calculations including the Return To Title IV Funds (R2T4) and remit any refunds back to DOE. Assist Collections Department with securing financing for withdrawn or terminated students that owe a balance to the school. Implemented a new process to reconcile daily funding reports to daily student ledger postings to ensure all funds received are processed and posted within the required timeframe. Assisted IT in creating a paperless process for maintaining all student records for Financial Aid, Admissions and Student Records departments which helped reduce paper costs annually by 35%.
